$225,000 funds raised through developing events management
expertise during this global economic downturn
Singapore, 25 August
2009 - The Events Management Action
Program (EMAP) trains you to acquire multi-faceted skills for the
growing meetings, incentives, conventions and events (Mice)
industry.
This unique events
training program has enabled, through its training regime, to
groom the trainees to raise the over $225,000 funds raised (June
2009) for their respective beneficiary organisations, namely
Disabled People's Association and Rainbow Centre. And it all began
with the EMAP training and a start-up fund of $100 for each
training group's event project. That this has been fulfilled
despite this global economic downturn, is gratifying indeed.
The two mega events organised by EMAP Project Groups:
1. 5 June 2009, A Night of HOPE - Disabled People's Association (DPA)
Fundraising Dinner, Guest of Honour: His Excellency, President S R
Nathan, Total funds raised: $80,000
2. 24 June 2009, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Rainbow
Centre Special Opening Night, Guest of Honour: Ms Ho Ching, Total
funds raised: $145,000.
"For the individuals, industries and nation to grow, we do not
need just more training but more transformational training. Too
many programmes out there are falling short of achieving the
desired measurable results. EMAP is one of the few exceptions. Its
holistic curriculum and dedicated mentorship have achieved high
returns on the participants' training investment." said David Lee,
President of the Association of Professional Trainers, Singapore (APTS),
endorser of EMAP.
DPA and Rainbow Centre are two of the organisations which
supported their trainees' participation in the EMAP programme that
was created, mooted and organised by ComsLink International. It is
exclusively developed by the one and only true Events Guru in
Singapore, Mr T. Vijay MBA (Marketing), mAPTS.
The organisers of the EMAP, endorsed by the Association of
Professional Trainers, Singapore, lift up to its corporate social
responsibility in addition to nurturing individuals in mastering
events management skills.

Develop events management expertise for now
and future growing opportunities in business and MICE
sector.
Singapore, 24
September 2008 - An innovative first of
its kind events training program sees growth in interest over the
next few years with more buzz being created in the Singapore's
Mice industry and across all sectors, due to
the ongoing development of the Integrated Resorts in
Singapore.
From Mr Lim Neo
Chian's, CEO of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), point of view
(the Straits Times report, September 3 2008), the future
opening of the two integrated resorts (IRs) in Marina Bay and
Sentosa, as well as the Gardens by the Bay in Marina South, will
be a fillip for the industry. He added that "Singapore also ranked
top city for business meeting, conventions".
With the soaring
growth of the mice and events organising in corporations,
companies, non-profit organisations, voluntary welfare
organisations, government sectors, events management skills
learning and upgrading become essential to consistently and
constantly scale professional heights in
Singapore.
The unique Events
Management Action Program (EMAP) project is the first of its kind
training program founded and created by the Singapore company,
Comslink International, and endorsed by the Association of
Professional Trainers, Singapore (APTS). It would be held
from 7 November 08 to 28 February 09. The second EMAP,
to be held in Singapore, is now open for registrations.
The organisers of the
EMAP hope that the project will help organisations and individuals
cast a wider net when seeking new opportunities in the MICE
sector.
